Your mission

What you will build
- Deliver focused journeys across Lucy Chat, the personal workspace, coaching explanations, correction and feedback. Make uncertainty, unavailable information and permission state understandable, including when a service fails or a user declines a suggestion.
- Build organization and user lifecycle, settings and administration flows with tenant boundaries and appropriate access checks. Integrate Identity services for authentication and authorization rather than inventing a parallel identity system.
- Connect Behavior context, Coaching decisions, Knowledge entities and Analytics outputs through explicit APIs. Preserve identifiers and provenance so a user correction can reach the right owner without turning an inferred task into an unquestioned fact.
- Translate approved privacy requirements into product behavior with Design and Security: visible controls, bounded manager visibility, understandable tool restrictions and recoverable failures. Keep private content out of manager-facing interfaces.
- Accept useful field-built capabilities into the core product: review customer evidence, remove customer-specific assumptions, define reusable scope and own hardening, documentation, release and maintenance. Customer sign-off starts that assessment; it does not establish shared-product readiness.
- Own component tests, feature instrumentation and defects for the code you build. Work with QA on integrated acceptance and with Platform/SRE on deployment and diagnosis.
Your partners and boundaries
You work with Product Managers under Travis's product leadership and with Design on interaction intent. Desktop Engineering owns native observation, local lifecycle and packaging; Data Engineering owns transport and data lifecycle; AI Engineering owns model runtime. Solution Architects and Customer Success Architects contribute field evidence and scoped capabilities. Support owns the primary technical support queue. This family combines frontend, backend and product full-stack work, with assignments sized to actual capacity.
What you bring
You can show maintainable product software built with TypeScript or comparable languages, APIs and databases. You understand accessible interaction, tenant isolation, automated testing and observable failure handling. We value your ability to investigate a real user problem, review AI-assisted code and explain tradeoffs in writing. Experience turning prototypes into supported features is useful; title and pedigree are not substitutes for sound engineering judgment.
Your first 90 days
Agree a narrow user journey and measurable acceptance criteria with Product and Design. Deliver a tested vertical slice, including error states and user feedback. Review one representative field handoff and document the changes required for reuse. Leave clear component ownership, release evidence and the next learning priorities; these outcomes are scoped against the funded team and actual product stage.
