Design partners

Help build the missing link between AI capability and useful human value. With us.

Lucy is the missing link between your ideas, the problems that slow you down, and the knowledge, skills, and capabilities you need to build the solutions with AI.

We are filtering for buyers who can read "design-partner stage, founder/family pre-seed, no at-scale revenue yet" and see a category bet, not a traction bet.

A Lucy design-partner engagement starts with a conversation β€” Lucy is right in front of you. Talking to Lucy IS the evaluation; you can email yourself the conversation when you're done, and opt in to have someone reach out with the full context already in hand.

The chat in the lower-right corner is the evaluation. Start there if you want.

Foundation β€” what you're partnering with

Why

AI does not transform businesses. People transform businesses with AI.

The winners in the AI era will not have the largest models. They will have the most capable people.

AI investments stall when your people's capability doesn't keep up with the technology you bought. We exist to close that gap.

How

The Evolutionary Framework: Trust β†’ Personal value β†’ Adoption β†’ Capability β†’ Scale.

Skip trust and your teams avoid the system. Skip personal value and adoption becomes theater. Skip capability and wins don't compound. Skip scale and capability stays tribal β€” best practices never compound across teams.

We deliver the five stages through continuous, contextual coaching in the flow of real work.

What

Lucy lives on your desktop as an app that is cloud-backed.

Most of the time she is a small, quiet icon in your menu bar or dock. While you work, she stays out of the way until she sees a task or workflow that could benefit from AI, or until you choose to engage.

Lucy is read-only β€” she observes what you share, never writes to your systems. Context (role, goals, work patterns) is always collected; content is opt-out and configurable 0–7 days; sensitive data is filtered before retention.

Design partner profile

The right buyer right now is a team that already sees AI as important and wants someone to help them do it right.

The fit conversation moves faster when these three filters are clear up front.

Sponsorship
Leadership alignment

Executive sponsorship, with urgency to prove AI ROI and improve workforce capability inside the next two quarters.

Workflow fit
Workflow-rich teams

Knowledge workers with repeatable processes where fast wins are visible and habit formation can be measured against a baseline.

Trust fit
Trust-first mindset

Your team cares about adoption, transparency, and privacy as core to whether transformation actually sticks. You don't want surveillance dressed up as productivity.

For the Phase-1 ICP framing (NAICS 52 / 541 in the US, NACE K / M in the EU β€” finance, insurance, professional services), see the investor market view.

The engagement phases

Three phases. Discover. Pilot. Scale.

Success criteria are written down before the engagement starts. Outcome is binary. Criteria met β†’ procurement begins. Criteria not met β†’ POV ends cleanly with no obligation. Moving from Pilot to Scale means adding users to a working architecture, not a risky cutover.

Phase 1
Discover

Stage 1 Β· Discovery β€” first conversation, real fit check. The website chat with Lucy and the team conversation are available today.

Customer and account team co-develop the POV plan together. Customer assigns candidate users. Plan and success criteria written down before anything is approved.

We co-scope the engagement with your team. You bring your real workflows; we bring the framework and the coaching engine. Together we agree on the baseline we are measuring against, before the clock starts.

Phase 2
Pilot

Stage 2 Β· Pre-deployment evaluation β€” POV (or Paid Pilot when procurement requires it). The POV motion is in active development with design partners; numbers and thresholds firm up as deployments grow.

Paid Pilot variant: when procurement won't allow pre-purchase access β€” regulated industries, public sector β€” the same evaluation runs as a Paid Pilot inside an annual contract with expansion clauses. Architecture, runtime, and product experience are identical to a POV. Only the commercial gate is different.

Onboarding is the same shape whether you arrived via the website, a POV, or a Paid Pilot. Lightweight install. A short interview. Two weeks of low-friction observation. A Personal Coaching Plan on Day 15. The first useful wins land before any heavier coaching is asked for.

interview
The first-session interview β€” Lucy runs a short interview to map your work: what tasks fill your day, where the friction is, which AI tools you have tried and what stuck, what success looks like in your role.
2 weeks
The 2-week observation period β€” after the interview, Lucy observes how you actually work (workflow patterns, tool usage, where execution time goes), with low-friction coaching capped at one nudge per day. You can engage her any time; she just does not push. What she learns shapes the Personal Coaching Plan delivered on Day 15.
day 15
Day 15: the Personal Coaching Plan. Built from your first-session interview, your 2-week observation, and your current capability baseline.
Phase 3
Scale

Expanding what works from pilots to enterprise-wide.

Bottom-up scaling β€” successful patterns built by domain experts become visible to others without exposing individual work, reviewable before broad adoption, and attributed to their original builder. Other teams can adopt, adapt, or fork them; Lucy coaches the pattern so it spreads with the same depth, not just as documentation.

Patterns that worked for the pilot team get adapted for the next teams, never mandated. Your champions become the network. Adoption spreads bottom-up. Capability stays with your people, not with the tool.

What you get

What a design partner takes home: the first useful AI-leverage win in week 1, a Day-15 Personal Coaching Plan for every user in the pilot, a team of domain experts building their own AI-supported solutions, and an executive read on the pilot team's pattern formation.

Week 1

First useful AI-leverage win

The first useful win comes from whatever task each user in the pilot thinks would help most. Value should land as early as possible after getting started.

Whatever frequent task you would want help with first β€” and the win should leave you more capable than it found you.

Day 15

Personal Coaching Plan

Day 15: the Personal Coaching Plan. Built from your first-session interview, your 2-week observation, and your current capability baseline. Contains your priority workflows, milestones with target dates, recommended next actions, the smallest useful solution-build worth attempting first, and saved-for-later patterns. The plan is adaptive β€” it updates as you progress, your goals shift, or new opportunities emerge.

Pilot duration

Workforce-built agents

Lucy turns employees into solution architects by coaching the design discipline inside their real work β€” so the durable skills build underneath as a side effect of getting the work done.

What you learn and build with Lucy is yours. The capability, the prompts, the workflows, the agents β€” they go with you to your next role, your next employer, and the next model generation.

Ongoing

The executive read

Visibility leaders can act on β€” aggregate patterns, never surveillance.

The Executive Dashboard surfaces: Value created Β· Opportunity maps Β· Approved-tool adoption Β· Capability trends Β· Shadow-AI risk patterns Β· Software optimization Β· Spend-reallocation β€” live at team and cohort level, bounded by manager-aggregate-only with cohort-size gating.

Procurement package

Standardized procurement package: DPA template, privacy FAQ, employee-facing summary, Works Council material. Available on request during the pilot.

For the trust posture during the engagement, the VΒ·CΒ·C user-side controls, manager boundary, admin controls, and clean-exit terms (data return, content retention, capability rights), see the trust architecture.

FAQ.

What is a Lucy design-partner engagement?

A scoped engagement with a single team across three phases β€” Discover, Pilot, Scale β€” with success criteria written down before deployment. The Pilot phase covers onboarding (lightweight install, first-session interview, two-week observation, Day-15 Personal Coaching Plan) and the first wave of coaching. The engagement shape, deliverables, trust posture, and clean-exit terms are described on this page and on /trust.

How long does the Pilot phase last?

The POV motion is in active development with design partners; specific durations and thresholds firm up as deployments grow. Typically long enough for the Trust β†’ Personal value β†’ Adoption stages of the Evolutionary Framework to land in real work; not long enough to claim Capability or Scale, which compound after the engagement. The exact length is set in the Discover phase.

How does pricing work?

Engagement pricing is set in conversation, sized to the engagement shape (workflow surface, pilot team size, window) and your procurement framework. The Paid Pilot variant exists for regulated industries and public-sector buyers where procurement won't allow pre-purchase access. Raise the pricing question in the contact conversation; we work through it directly.

What does success look like?

Operational outcomes from the production work the pilot team does: time saved per user per week on the workflow surfaces in scope, quality lifted on outputs that were tracked, decisions made faster on the operating cadence the team already runs. Outcome is binary. Criteria met β†’ procurement begins. Criteria not met β†’ POV ends cleanly with no obligation.

What if the engagement ends without hitting criteria?

Clean exit. The data architecture, retention windows, capability rights, and exit terms are on the trust architecture. The capability your pilot team built stays inside your organization regardless. That's GP-003.

Can I get a DPA template?

Yes. Request the DPA template through the contact form; it's sent on request to verified procurement / Legal / works-council representatives. The DPA aligns with the data-controller / data-processor split named on the trust architecture.
