Public sector and policy

AI’s gains will go to a few unless the skill to use AI spreads.

Lucy Labs makes Lucy, an AI coach that helps people build their own AI solutions at work. We only win if that skill spreads across the workforce instead of concentrating. That puts our interests on the same side as the public’s.

The public problem we share

AI raises the minimum skill that work demands. People who can direct it go further; people who can only consume it fall behind. That gap is a public problem before it is a business opportunity.

Literacy delivered where it works

Lucy supports workforce AI-literacy obligations inside real work, and literacy is provable in changed behavior rather than certificate counts.

Human-centric by design, not by pledge

The AI solutions people build take on the routine tasks; judgment, creativity and accountability stay human. Oversight is built in, and surveillance, ranking and disciplinary use are prohibited by contract.

Workforce transition without the cliff

Reskilling inside the job beats retraining after it ends, and the capability a worker builds stays with the worker across employers.

Questions

Questions from the public sector

Does Lucy help organizations meet AI literacy requirements?

Lucy supports workforce AI-literacy obligations inside real work. The EU AI Act, for example, requires providers and deployers of AI systems to take measures to support the development of AI literacy among their staff, and the European Commission’s guidance says no certificate is needed. Lucy builds that literacy on people’s real tasks, and leaders can see capability trends at team level. How your obligations apply is a question for your legal team.

Can public sector organizations use Lucy?

It depends on your requirements, and we label every certification with its real status. Our architecture supports GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act deployer obligations and NIST AI RMF alignment today. SOC 2 Type II is designed for, not yet audited. HIPAA-ready architecture, ENS High, and FedRAMP and GovRAMP paths are Planned. Ask for the procurement package to review the details against your requirements.

How does Lucy keep humans in control of AI?

By design rather than by pledge. People stay in charge of what gets built, and the solutions they build take on routine tasks while judgment, creativity and accountability stay human. Lucy never acts on your data or systems. Human oversight is built in: you can pause Lucy at any time. Surveillance, ranking and disciplinary use are prohibited by contract.
